A naked woman was behind the wheel of a speeding car that crashed and burst into flames north of Los Angeles, killing her six-year-old daughter and injuring the girl’s two-year-old sister.

The California Highway Patrol says the female driver was speeding in her 2019 Subaru when she ran a red light, turned into oncoming traffic on The Old Road and smashed into a power pole at around 9.45am on Monday in Stevenson Ranch, an unincorporated area near Santa Clarita.

The out-of-control car then careened across the intersection of Pico Canyon Road, smashed into a tree and an electrical box, and caught fire.

Good Samaritans who witnessed the fiery single-vehicle crash helped rescue the driver and her daughters from the burning car.

Bryan Timmerman told KTLA he pulled the mother from the wreckage first.

‘She was completely naked,’ Timmerman said. ‘And there were no clothes anywhere.’

The woman, identified by law enforcement as a 31-year-old Bakersfield resident, was seen running in the nude from the scene after being extracted from the car, Officer Michael Gubelli, with the CHP’s Newhall office, told Fox 11.

The woman was later taken into custody, after which she and her two-year-old daughter were hospitalized in stable condition. They are expected to survive.

The driver’s six-year-old daughter was found in a bad condition in the back seat alongside her sister.

According to witnesses, the girls were strapped into their car seats the wrong way, which made it difficult to free them.

Witness Jerry Jordan asked someone to hand him a knife so he could slice through the seat belts.

Jordan told CBS Los Angeles at that moment he noticed that the driver in the front was naked and covered in blood from head to toe.

‘She wasn’t responsive, she was barely breathing,’ Jelene Golbolakh told ABC7 of the young victim. ‘She was foaming at the mouth and turning blue.’

The girl was rushed to Henry Mayo Hospital, where she later died of her injuries.

Investigators are trying to determine if alcohol played a role in the crash. It is unclear at this time why the driver was naked.
