GMA co-host Michael Strahan in court battle with second ex-wife over child support payments for twin daughters

GMA co-host Michael Strahan was in court in New York on Monday in an ongoing money dispute with his second ex-wife.

The former NFL pro, 47, shares twin daughters with Jean Muggli who were just 20 months old when the couple filed for divorce in 2006.

Muggli is asking the Manhattan Supreme Court to enforce the child support payments agreed to and also order Strahan to contribute to their daughters’s horse riding lessons, PageSix.com reported.

In the divorce settlement, Muggli was awarded a lump sum of $15.3 million and child support of $18,000 a month.

However, in June, she filed a money judgment against her ex-husband.

A source told PageSix.com that Muggli is claiming Strahan ‘reneged’ on an agreement to help pay for the teenage twins to continue to pursue their equestrian ambitions.

She’s also alleging, according to the source, that he is underpaying on the child support payments and wants the court to enforce their agreement.

A source close to Strahan said the accusations against the TV personality ‘are completely false.’

‘Michael has always honored his commitments regarding his children,’ the insider said. ‘The reason they are in court is that Jean continuously asks for more money. Michael intends to do what is best for his children, as he always does. He is properly handling this in the court.’

The judge set another hearing for October 16 but neither Strahan nor Muggli are required to attend in person.
