If you’ve got a Garbage Pail Kid or Thunder Wings Lion-O stuffed away in a dusty old box in your attic, you might want to dig it out of storage – because it could be worth thousands of pounds.

Go Social rounded up ten popular toys from the 1980s that could earn you a small fortune, and are urging anyone who still has one squirreled away to try and sell their childhood playthings.

While a Savage He-man will earn you around £80, according to the site, if you’ve got at set of Real Ghostbusters Figurines lying around, you could amass over £1,000 for all four.

£150: Strawberry Shortcake was originally a greetings card range in the 1970s but became one of the most sought-after dolls’ houses. The Berry Happy Home dollhouse cost around £30 when it came out in 1983 and had six rooms with characters and furniture you could buy for each one

£200: She-Ra and Swift Wind Action Figurines were released in 1985 and cost around £15. Every little girl wanted to get her hands on one and the plastic toy with bubblegum pink hair could fetch you £200 today
