A six-year-old Golden Retriever has proven that dogs really are a man’s best friend by forming a heart-warming friendship with her mailmen.
A series of clips, captured in South Carolina, U.S, shows the playful pup named Pippin wait by her door and eagerly await the arrival of her local mailman along with the parcels they bring.
During the footage, the excited canine stands guard by her door just in time for the the mailman’s delivery before eagerly receiving a cherished pat on the head.

In one clip the keen dog even hitches a ride around the block with her local UPS driver.
During the collection of clips, the adorable dog excitedly watches the mailmen approach her home and wags her tail at their appearance.
In another clip she is joined by another Golden Retriever and both dogs are seen jumping upon the sight of the delivery man parking up on the street.
The mailmen also seem to enjoy the friendly encounter by playing with the pup and offering her a friendly pat.
Pippin’s owner Kayla said: ‘Pippin has always been very friendly with everyone, especially our mail men.
‘She loves our postmen, our FedEx guys, our UPS guys and you guessed it, even the ice cream truck guy.
‘Our FedEx guy was scared of dogs and wouldn’t come to our front door with a package for the longest time, but we did some sensitisation training with him and over the course of a year, he became best friends with Pippin.
‘UPS leaves Pippin a bone on the front porch even if no one is home.
‘They always let her get in the truck.
‘One time, she raced to the back of the truck and stole our UPS man’s sub sandwich and he was so sweet about it.
‘They know to expect to see Pippin run out to them daily, and they accept her so graciously.
‘The hardest part is getting her to leave their mail truck. She hates to see them go.’

A caption on the post reads: ‘It’s high time Pippin showed Frank what robbing the truck is all about! Frank gets in the drivers seat to distract Chase while Pippin looks for treats!
‘If Frank learned how to steer and Pippin learned how to press the gas, they could form one heck of a delivery team.’
