Golf fans all say the same thing about Tiger Woods’ walkout song ahead of legend’s TGL debut

On the second night of the TGL’s existence, the biggest name in the sport strutted out onto the big, tech-filled stage that he helped build to advance golf into the future.

Tiger Woods arrived to be one of the three competitors in Tuesday night’s showdown between his Jupiter Links Golf Club and Los Angeles Golf Club.

As the final member of the team to be introduced to the crowd at the SoFi Center, Woods was able to choose his own music to walk out to.

Possibly coming as no surprise, Tiger went with Survivor’s 1982 classic rock hit ‘Eye of the Tiger’.

Fans of the sport took to social media to react to the decision. Many loved the selection, while others said it seemed like the most obvious choice possible.

‘Tiger Woods walkout on TGL made me want to run through a brick wall. I’m fired up #TGL,’ wrote one user on X, formerly Twitter.

Another wrote, ‘Tiger Woods walking out to Eye of the Tiger only seems right.’

‘Tiger walking out to Eye of the Tiger. Never seen so much Aura,’ another post read.

Another post said, ‘Tiger Woods walkout might be the most Tiger thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Dudes rock. #TGL.’

‘Tiger’s walkout song: Eye of the Tiger. Had to be the -850 favorite,’ wrote another user.

One user, apparently unimpressed with the selection, said, ‘That’s a little on the nose isn’t it?’

While Tiger’s entrance may have been cause for hype, the play of his TGL team didn’t exactly match those expectations.

At the time of publishing, the evening’s proceedings had advanced to the singles portion with Jupiter Links down 8-1 with six holes remaining.
