Golfer, 27, dies in hospital after freak accident

A 27-year-old man has tragically died after he was hit by a golf ball in a freak New Zealand accident.

Jaden Goldfinch-Booker was playing a round of golf with some friends and was ‘in the wrong place’ at the ‘wrong time’ according to the  fundraising page set up for the boy.

He was on the second tee standing next to a mate when the golf ball struck him in the temple at a Queenstown Golfcourse.

The keen golfer was placed on life support and into an induced coma at the Intensive Care Unit on February 17 but died last Wednesday.

Cousin Callum Macbeth told Daily Mail Australia Jaden was the kind of guy who always had time for family and friends.

‘With his cheeky smile and twisted since of humor he could turn anyone’s day into a great one. He was a great rugby player and a good friend to all,’ he said.

Girlfriend Dominique Fry posted a heartbreaking tribute on Facebook: 'My boy. My entire world. I'll love you til the day I die.'
