A group of Good Samaritans saved a injured man after he was shoved onto train tracks in a Harlem subway station on Christmas morning.  

The unidentified victim was standing on the platform at the 125th Street station on Malcolm X Boulevard when he was suddenly thrust is danger’s way around 11.30am. 

Fellow commuters waiting for the 2 and 3 trains watched on in horror, with some of them in disbelief.

‘I’m standing right over here and I see the guy fall onto the tracks,’ Kirk Abbot, a bus driver, told WLNY. 

An unidentified man was saved by a group of Good Samaritans after he was shoved onto subway tracks and was bleeding from cuts on his head 

Abbot, who was on his way to work at the time of the incident, inched closet to the platform edge and saw the victim badly bleeding near the third rail.  

Abbott and three other bystanders rushed into action and lowered themselves onto the tracks.

Footage from the incident shows the Good Samaritans frantically trying to lift the slumped victim off the track as other commuters encourage them fro the sidelines.  

The men struggle for a few seconds as they maneuver around the man’s head, arms and legs. 

‘I had them get down on the tracks. I ran to the edge of the platform so I could wave the train down with my flashlight and have the train slow down,’ he said.

Luckily, an oncoming train did stop in time and the four Good Samaritans were able to lift the man back onto the platform.  

The victim reportedly had no idea what happened and was in a daze.  

‘He was in and out of consciousness. He still didn’t know what happened to him,’ Abbott said.

The victim suffered cuts on his head from falling on the tracks. 

Others who witnessed the dangerous ordeal cornered the suspect, 54-year-old Jose Gonzalez, until authorities arrived to the scene.   

Gonzalez was charged with assault and reckless endangerment ahead of his next court date on December 31. 

The New York Post reports that Gonzalez has prior arrests, including petty larceny and possession of a controlled substance. 

On December 20, he was accused of stealing $170 worth of goods from a CVS Pharmacy.
