Google searches for the heights of Presidential hopefuls surged just before the start of CNN’S second Democratic debate in Detroit on Wednesday night.

As the ten candidates stood side-by-side singing the national anthem, viewers took to their smartphones querying their specific statures.

According to Google Trends, Bill de Blasio’s height was the most searched across the country  – perhaps no coincidence given that the New York Mayor is the tallest of the 2020 contenders.

At 6ft 5 in, the 58-year-old stands a full three inches above the second-tallest candidate – Cory Booker.
