‘I’d love to learn how to dance’: Gordon Ramsay says he’s open to Strictly Come Dancing despite having ‘size 15 feet’ – after ‘inspirational and amazing’ daughter Tilly competed last year
Gordon Ramsay says he’s open to the prospect of appearing on a future series of Strictly Come Dancing after watching his daughter reach the latter-stages of last year’s competition.
The celebrity chef supported daughter Tilly, 21, as she progressed to the tenth week of the BBC show with professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin before suffering elimination.
And Ramsay, 56, admits he’s tempted by the possibility of learning how to dance gracefully despite his enormous feet serving as a potential obstacle.
Possibility: Gordon Ramsay says he’s open to the prospect of appearing on Strictly Come Dancing after watching his daughter reach the latter-stages of last year’s competition
Appearing on Friday evening’s instalment of The Jonathan Ross Show, he said: ‘I would love to dance but I’ve got a huge problem – I’ve got size 15 feet.
‘Tilly did it last year and she was amazing. I don’t know. Those dancers are amazing. I’d love to learn how to dance properly.’
Ramsay also admitted Tilly and her two sisters, Megan, 24, and 22-year old Holly, encouraged him to join social media platform TikTok – where his typically blunt assessment of other people’s cooking has attracted more than 35 million followers.

He said: ‘I have three amazing daughters and they inspire me. They started that craze in lockdown. I take their steer.’
Away from social media the straight-talking chef is currently preparing for a hectic family Christmas as youngest child Oscar, three, becomes more conscious of the festive period.
But he is still unsure if they will be joined by eldest son Jack, 22 – Holly’s twin brother – who remains absent from the family home after joining the British Royal Marines in 2020.

‘Jack is super busy,’ said Ramsay. ‘Oscar is getting excited for Father Christmas. We play tricks on him now where we get these phone messages literally from Father Christmas to get him to bed early or else you’re in trouble!’
Chatting to Ross about new ITV and ITVX show Next Level Chef, he added: ‘It’s launching next month. It’s three amazing kitchens stacked on top of one another. Basement level kitchen, middle kitchen and top flight kitchen which is incredible.
‘In the middle of these kitchens is this incredible platform and it starts from the top and works its way down to the bottom. The idea is you grab ingredients and cook your way to the top floor.
‘The difference with the show is how quick you have to pivot. There is no set agenda or set recipes. You’ve got 40 minutes to cook this amazing dish.’
The Jonathan Ross Christmas Show airs Saturday 17th December, 10:05pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
