Gordon Ramsay ‘shells out £50,000 for Ed Sheeran to perform at daughter Tilly’s 18th birthday bash’

Gordon Ramsay reportedly paid Ed Sheeran a whopping £50,000 to perform at his daughter Tilly’s lavish 18th birthday bash over the weekend.

The celebrity chef pulled out all the stops for his offspring’s soirée, which was held at London’s exclusive Cuckoo Club on Saturday and included chart-topping singer Ed, 28, performing a five-song set, according to The Sun.

Shape Of You hitmaker Ed, who is said to charge £50,000 for private shows, then reportedly led the crowd – which included Tilly’s friends Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham – to sing a rendition of Happy Birthday.

A source told The Sun: ‘Tilly’s bash was next level. It was clear Gordon had spared no expense in making sure it really was a night to remember.

‘Ed is Tilly’s favourite singer so it meant the world to her that he was there, even though his set didn’t come cheap.

‘The whole party had a James Bond theme, with drinks topped with her face or the 007 logo and guests encouraged to come in black tie. There was even a 007 ice sculpture which you could drink shots out of.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Ed Sheeran and Gordon Ramsay for comment.

Ahead of the bash, Gordon shared a video of him and Tilly – whose birthday fell on November 8th – switching from every clothes into their glam party gear.

The bash comes after Gordon demanded answers when Tilly went public with her new boyfriend in a cosy Instagram snap.

Budding chef Tilly shared the black and white image with the new beau tagged as Seth Mack, which lead Gordon, 53, to comment in bewilderment: ‘Wtf?’

When grilled about her new man, Tilly said he was her ‘real and only’ boyfriend, despite dad Gordon confirming she was dating Gino D’Acampo’s son Luciano in a television appearance last month.

In the loved-up snap, Tilly was beaming with delight as she posed alongside her new man, and simply captioned the black and white image with a heart emoji.

The post was flooded with comments about the identity of her new boyfriend, with one asking: ‘wait, is he your boyfriend??.’

Tilly coyly responded ‘maybe.’

Another user wrote: ‘The real boyf cuties!’ while she replied: ‘real and only,’ implying her relationship with Luciano may have been nothing more than a friendship.

Gordon – who was the first to confirm that Tilly was dating Gino’s son Luciano last month – seemed as stunned by the relationship revelation as much of social media, as he commented: ‘Wtf?’

Meanwhile, his son Jack, 19, hinted that her new boyfriend was not the first to face the wrath of the outspoken chef, jokingly writing: ‘Interrogation time.’

Tilly’s sister Megan, 21, added: ‘We have all been there Tills – gotta face up to it.’

Jack’s twin Holly, 19, referenced Tilly’s rumoured romance with Luciano, writing: ‘Someone tell Luci.’

Luciano’s dad Gino, 43, seemed to approve of this new romance, as he ‘liked’ Tilly’s post.

The Italian chef had previously said he was thrilled his son Luciano was dating Tilly, especially as it gave him leverage to wind up friend Gordon.

He said on This Morning: ‘They’ve known each other for a few years now. I don’t really want to say a lot because it’s none of my business.

‘But what a great pleasure knowing my son is dating Gordon’s daughter, just to really annoy him.’

Gordon previously branded the teen romance a ‘f**king nightmare’ on The Jonathan Ross Show.

Joking about whether there was going to be an arranged marriage any time soon, Jonathan told the audience: ‘It is Gino’s son who is by the way is a very handsome man – I think Gino isn’t the father.’

Gordon said: ‘We were driving through San Francisco and FaceTiming Luciano and all of a sudden Tilly pops up behind them, and they are out having lunch. I think they are friends.’

‘I have heard they are more than friends’, Jonathan said, drawing laughs from the audience. ‘
