A gorilla shows he has what it takes to make the catwalk as he is pictured strutting through his zoo enclosure.

N’Dowe is Western Lowland Gorilla at Paignton Zoo in Devon which is also home to crocodiles, emus and gibbons.

And the 16-year-old gorilla showed he was the king of the jungle as he strutted across the grass in his enclosure and making eyes at the camera.

Keepers say the 30-stone gorilla loves to go fishing with sticks and described him as a great thinker and a gentle soul who will pretty much eat anything and everything that he’s given.

He shares a complex of dens and a large island with two young silverbacks Kiondo and Kivu, 17.

Western Lowlands are found in the tropical forests and lowland swamps in central Africa and feed on low-growing leaves and fruit.

The mammals are critically endangered and are at threat from hunting, war and habitat destruction.
