Grant Denyer shares an adorable video of his young daughters spotting ‘reindeer’ on their farm days before Christmas – but all is not as it seems
Grant Denyer tried his hardest to get his daughters in the Christmas spirit this week.
The TV host – who shares Sailor, 10, Scout, six and 10-month-old Sunday with his wife Chezzi – was adamant there were reindeer outside of the family’s farm in Bathurst in a new video shared to Instagram on Monday.
‘Is that… reindeer?’ the 44-year-old said to his two older daughters, while hilariously zooming in on a mob of kangaroos nearby. ‘It’s reindeer!’
Nice try! Grant Denyer tried his hardest to get his daughters in the Christmas spirit on Monday, as he pretended a herd of reindeers were grazing outside of their Bathurst farm house – but it was in fact, just a mob of kangaroos. While little Scout was quick to run to the window, Sailor exclaimed: ‘They’re not! They’re Australian reindeer.’
‘It’s reindeer, bro!’ Grant responded, trying to persuade his daughter with some youthful lingo.
‘There’s two suns!’ Scout responded, with Grant still attempting to convince the girls it was Santa’s reindeer relaxing outside the property.
‘Have a good Christmas Eve!’ he then shouted to the animals, with Sailor sighing: ‘It’s not Christmas Eve!’
Excited: Grant shared a video of his girls staring out the window – and while Scout appeared a little interested, Sailor was having none of it

‘Make sure you eat the cookies! Be kind to Santa!’ he went on, before whispering to Sailor: ‘Those reindeer were amazing.’
Little Scout then stared up at him from below in utter confusion at her father’s words.
Grant captioned the funny video: ‘I’m getting so excited about Xmas, we’ve decided to use our farm as a day-spa for Santa’s crew… so they’re fresh for the big global run!’
While Grant showed off a heartwarming moment with his children, his wife Chezzi recently revealed some of the harder times she’s had to go through as a mother.
Say what? Little Scout then stared up at him from below in utter confusion at her father’s words
The 41-year-old revealed earlier this month that she had contracted mastitis, a painful yet common breastfeeding condition experienced by many mothers after giving birth.
Alongside a picture of herself alongside her daughter Sunday, Chezzi revealed: ‘One of us got a serious case of bite-itis last week…’
She continued: ‘Making a big impact on someone’s tit-itis, leading to quite a serious case of Mastitis.’
In the same note to fans, Chezzi said what happened led her to ‘cry-itis’, which subsequently led to a bout of ‘sinusitis’.
‘…And a heavy double dose of antibiotics-itis (that doesn’t really work does it),’ she added.

Chezzi then thanked a breast ice-pack brand for helping her get through the uncomfortable time, which she added ‘also doubles as nice face ice packs’.
According to the Australian Breastfeeding Association, mastitis can occur when a milk duct in the breast becomes blocked.
This leads to milk banking up and the surrounding tissue becoming inflamed, with initial signs including flu-like symptoms, aches and sore breasts with red marks.
Treatment of antibiotics and plenty of rest is recommended as soon as the illness is detected.
