He said ‘We are two people who have our own minds and our own lives…

‘We do our own things. Outside of work we don’t socialise. We dress differently from each other, we have different taste in food and drink.

‘We have different opinions. We respect that and give each other space. We disagree.’

Despite this, Gregg insisted they still trust and respect each other. The TV star – who has been the co-presenter of ‘MasterChef’ since 2005 – said the pair have an ‘incredible understanding.’

He said they are a duo who, unlike Ant and Dec, don’t need to do everything together.

Gregg vowed to overhaul his health and fitness regime in 2017 and has stayed true to his word, keeping a public record of his body’s change.
