A grieving husband had to be restrained by three policemen to prevent him attacking a ‘vampire’ accused of killing his tattoo artist wife.
Millionaire’s son Andrey Gorbatyuk, 26, was remanded in custody for two months by a judge in Ternipol, Ukraine after Tatyana Podvashetskaya, 27, was found dead in her blood-soaked apartment with stab wounds and ‘bites’ on the neck.
The suspect was described by police as having ‘fangs in his mouth and eyes like a demon’, ‘small horns’ on his forehead, pointed ears and spikes on the back of his neck.

His wife – a trained gynaecologist who worked as a tattoo artist – had 50 stab wounds and bites on her neck.
Asked if he repented over her death, Gorbatyuk – the grandson of a police commander – replied: ‘Repent is too weak a word for this.’
He had gone to her apartment after not seeing her for several years, say police.

Earlier she had made his tattoos on his eyes to give him his ‘demon look’.
Gorbatyuk told interrogators ‘could not remember’ how she was stabbed since he was high on drugs.
The dead woman’s unnamed grandfather said: ‘She tried to fight him off because there is blood on the walls.
‘She was into karate. But he stabbed her several times into her abdomen.’

Gorbatyuk’s mother Natalya said that on the night of Podvashetskaya’s death her son returned home and confessed to the killing.
He then took several hundred dollars from the house, changed clothes, and left, she said. Later he was detained in Lviv city.
In a TV show in 2014 in which the suspect and his mother, as well as the victim, took part, Natalya, a beauty therapist, said she was ‘ashamed’ of her son over his ‘vampire’ looks.

‘From a handsome guy he became a freak,’ she said.
But he hit back: ‘I just like how it looks. I like myself more with black eyes.’
He said: ‘I don’t get much interest in life.
‘From my very childhood I was interested in changing my appearance, my hairstyle.
‘I had a lot of piercing and started dying my hair.’
