They are parents to a blushing baby boy with a unique name, but they aren’t afraid to spar on social media from time to time.
Grimes tweeted at her boyfriend Elon Musk with a somewhat scolding message on Friday, which was soon deleted.
The trippy Canadian singer, 32, wrote her message in response to one of the 49-year-old SpaceX CEO’s typical online rants in which he said: ‘Pronouns suck,’ shortly after writing ‘Twitter sucks’.
She responded: ‘I love you but please turn off ur phone or give me a dall [sic]. I cannot support hate.’

‘Please stop this,’ she continued. ‘I know this isn’t in your heart’.
It was just the latest in Musk’s repeated erratic behavior online, which has garnered him unwelcome headlines on more than one occasion in the past.
Elon welcomed his seventh child, and first with his girlfriend Grimes, in early May.

Showing off his funny side, Musk joked in the caption that his nearly three-month-old son was not able to use a spoon yet.

The world’s fifth richest man penned in German: ‘Das baby kann noch keinen löffel benutzen’ which translates into: ‘the baby can’t use a spoon yet’.
In the snap, the CEO of SpaceX looked every inch the doting father as he cradled X Æ A-Xii, who he and Grimes call ‘little X’ for short, in his arms.
Elon looked casual in black jeans, a dark shirt and grey T-shirt, he finished his look with a blue bandana.
The billionaire’s 37 million followers were quick to react to the post with some fans also penning their comments in German.

One person wrote: ‘First the spoon, then the controller.’
Then a different fan added: ‘Please share a photo of how you give him the bottle !! The world is a better place with regular X content.’
Grimes and Elon had to officially change their baby’s name from X Æ A-12 to X AE A-XII to comply with California law.
Birth names in California must only contain letters from the English alphabet, with no numbers or special characters, TMZ reported.
The parents have therefore had to change the character Æ, which is used in Norwegian and Danish and is often pronounced ‘Ash’, to ‘AE’ in their son’s name.
The final part of his unusual name, A-12, named after a 1960s spy plane, has been changed to Roman numerals to comply with state law.
Grimes recently told Bloomberg her nickname for baby X Æ A-12 is ‘Little X’.
She explained the name on Twitter after his birth: ‘X, the unknown variable. Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence).

The Canadian singer, born Claire Elise Boucher, clarified that the bizarre moniker is pronounced: ‘Ex Ash A Twelve.’
But Musk disagreed, as he said it was ‘Ex Ash Archangel Twelve’ on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast.
Elon also shares six sons with ex-wife Justine Wilson, one of whom tragically died at 10 weeks of SIDS.
The billionaire began dating Grimes in 2018 after they met at that year’s Met Gala.
Elon’s net worth hit $74 billion Monday afternoon thanks to Tesla’s ongoing stock rally.
Shares in the company, founded by him, hit $1,643.00 – a 300 percent increase since January 2020 and up 60 percent since the end of June.
Tesla is now worth more than General Motors, Ford, BMW and Ferrari combined and has surpassed every rival to become the world’s highest-valued automaker.
Asked by Forbes about his wealth, outspoken Elon said: ‘I really couldn’t care less. These numbers rise and fall, but what really matters is making great products that people love.’
The world’s richest man, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, also saw his net worth increase by $13 billion in one day on Monday.
That is the largest one-day jump in one person’s wealth in the history of the Bloomberg Billionaire List. He now has a fortune of $189.3 billion.
Elon’s wealth was worth just under $25 billion as recently as March and stood at 31 on Forbes’ rich list. Since then his wealth has tripled.
He now falls behind only Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, who is fourth richest, Microsoft’s Bill Gates in third, Bernard Arnault in second and Bezos, who is the world’s richest man.
