Grimy burglar is rescued by police after getting stuck in chimney fleeing Argentinian house break-in

A suspected burglar had to be rescued by police after getting stuck in a chimney.

A 23 year old Bolivian man became trapped as he tried to escape being caught from a house break in, near Buenos Aires, Argentina. 

Three police officers struggled to free the suspected burglar, and the incident was filmed in a hilarious video.

The wannabe thief tried to flee with 32-inch TV, a tablet computer, an MP4 player, and a bag full of clothes he had allegedly stolen from the property.

The items, luckily for the man, were not in the chimney with him.

These items were earmarked for taking inside the house, having wrapped them beforehand.  

But things didn’t go to plan and neighbours called the police.

Police struggled to free the suspected burglar, and filmed the incident in a hilarious video. He was immediately arrested and taken into police custody to be charged with burglary

Police were alerted to a property by neighbours who had seen suspicious movements inside.   

When they entered the building they found that the 23-year-old Bolivian man had attempted to flee via the chimney but had become stuck. 

It took three police on the roof of the building to finally pull the grimy suspect free. 

Police also found items the thief had already packaged to be stolen, among them a 32-inch TV, a tablet computer, an MP4 player, and a bag full of clothes

He was immediately arrested and taken into police custody to be charged with burglary.

The incident occurred in the Argentinian city of Berazategui, to the south of the capital Buenos Aires. 

Police at the scene found house-breaking equipment including a crowbar, pliers, and several padlocks.

The suspect was reported to live just four blocks away from the house he had attempted to burgle. 

He suffered no ill effects from his brief period of entrapment.
