Gross moment couple put their feet on a plane’s tray table to the disgust of passengers

  • Pair were spotted on what appeared to be a flight going to Reykjavik, Iceland
  • One even took their shoes off before resting their feet on the tray tables in front
  • The picture was taken down from the Passenger Shaming Instagram page

A very relaxed couple has been publicly shamed after they were spotted using aeroplane tray tables as foot rests.

Although the pair seemed to have more legroom than usual they still put their feet up on the tables, and one even took their shoes off.

While it isn’t clear where the outlandish pair were going, the advert on the seat in front of them suggests they are on their way to Reykjavik, Iceland.

Social media users expressed disgust at the picture, which was posted to the Instagram page called Passenger Shaming two years ago but has seen a resurgence in comments.

One user wrote: ‘I’m never touching one of those tables ever again.’

While another said: ‘I fly enough to crave comfort yet I’d never stick my feet on those trays because I’m completely aware that other people use them to hold food, or reading material, or even their heads if they’re napping.

‘Gross. Gross. Gross.’

And another said: ‘The trays aren’t cleaned between flights.’

However, some users tried to defend the passengers by pointing out that they were in an emergency exit row so wouldn’t use the tray tables in front of them for dining anyway.

Other pictures posted on the Instagram page have gone viral in the past, including one of a man drying his socks against a plane window.

Many users were quick to vilify the passenger and pointed out that many people rest their heads against plane windows to sleep.

The image was posted alongside the sarcastic caption: ‘Me doing my laundry on the way to LA this weekend!’
