‘Sorry for what’s about to happen’: Chilling final video emerges after parents are found dead inside their home in suspected murder-suicide – as boy, 4, is pulled lifeless from a bedroom with ‘blood seeping from his head’

  • Police found two bodies at a home in Auckland and a child in a critical condition
  • Boy, 4, was rushed to a New Zealand hospital where he is in intensive care
  • Child’s father had posted a disturbing video to social media prior to the deaths
  • The boy had been seen playing with a brand-new bike only days earlier

A young boy fighting for his life after an attempted murder suicide in New Zealand had received a brand-new bicycle for Christmas only days earlier.

Police discovered the bodies of Fijian New Zealand couple Rohan Nath and Sherine Nath in their home in Papatoetoe, outside Auckland about 10am on Monday.

Their four-year-old son was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after he was found in his bedroom, bleeding from his head.

Detectives are investigating a video Mr Nath posted to social media saying ‘sorry for what’s going to happen’ before he and his wife’s bodies were found.

Investigators cordoned off the home and spoke with neighbours after searching their property to try and piece together what happened.

Stuff.co.nz detailed how, in his eight minute video, Nath made a series of allegations detailing the changing nature of the relationship with his wife.

He spoke about having separated from his partner eight months ago, but reuniting and living together at their home in South-Auckland after the split.

The man is then heard apologising to family and friends. ‘Sorry for what’s going to happen,’ he said.

The couple’s four-year-old son was spotted playing with a new bike that he received for Christmas only days before the tragic scene in Auckland’s suburbs, according to the New Zealand Herald.

The father was also seen setting up a trampoline for their son several days earlier.

Neighbours said they saw the boy being taken away on a stretcher on Monday morning with lacerations to his head.

‘He looked lifeless,’ one said.

‘We have spoken to a number of people as part of our ongoing enquiries and we want to thank the local community for their assistance with our investigation.

‘I want to reiterate that Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to this event,’ said Detective Inspector Higson.

Police will formally identify the couple later today.
