Guardians of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista will QUIT third film unless Disney uses James Gunn’s script

Guardians of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista – who plays Drax the Destroyer – threatened to quit the three-quel Monday unless Disney and Marvel use the script penned by fired director James Gunn.

‘If [they] don’t use that script, then I’m going to ask them to release me from my contract, cut me out, or recast me,’ the 49-year-old action star vowed in a statement to ShortList.

The actor added: ‘I’d be doing James a disservice if I didn’t.’

In a tweet Sunday, Bautista called the 52-year-old Grammy nominee’s resurfaced tweets about pedophilia and rape a ‘smear campaign on a good man.’

The 6ft4in bodybuilder further pledged his support for the Midwestern filmmaker alongside the rest of the cast in a July 30 letter.

‘I spoke to Chris Pratt the day after [Gunn’s firing] happened and he’s a bit religious so he wanted to pray and figure it out,’ Dave recalled.

‘But I was more like, “F*** this. This is bulls***. James is one of the kindest, most decent people I’ve met.”‘

Bautista’s comments came a day after he acknowleged that he might be ‘legally obligated’ to do the third installment but it’s ‘not what I signed up for.’

‘It’s also pretty nauseating to work for someone who’d empower a smear campaign by fascists #cybernazis,’ the retired WWE/MMA champ – who boasts 10.2M social media followers – tweeted. ‘That’s just how I feel.’

As of last Wednesday, the family-friendly studio have expressed no intention of reinstating the troubled maestro behind the successful sci-fi franchise – according to Variety sources.

‘It’s sad. But it’s part of our fabric now, and I get it,’ Kurt Russell – who played Star-Lord’s babydaddy Ego – told the mag on Saturday.

‘But I do think we’re getting a little too sensitive on maybe some of the wrong people.’
