Andy and his co-host Hamish Blake are two of the country’s most popular comedians and TV presenters.

Andy recently revealed how their careers almost never took off after their first TV show was a major flop.

‘Hamish and I had a failed show on Channel Seven called Hamish and Andy. It was a terrible show that lasted six episodes back in 2004,’ he told The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

Andy explained that he called the network five years after the show was cancelled to track down the master tapes, because he’d never actually watched it.

‘I was like, “Look, just wondering, it’s our first ever show, Chris Lilley was on it doing Mr G, so there was some interesting parts to it,”‘ he said.

He was then told the tapes no longer existed, because the network had taped over his failed show during the Commonwealth Games.
