Matty’s throwback post comes after he shared a cryptic message on Instagram last week, which resulted in fans arguing over his decision to leave wife Alycia.
‘Free to be me,’ he captioned his post, adding the hash tags, ‘Listen to your heart’, ‘Be true to yourself’ and ‘Taking it slow’.
Fans were certain his message was directly referring to the breakup, but some interpreted it as a subtle criticism of his heartbroken ex.
One fan commented: ‘You kind of stuffed up by breaking up with her because she’s “out of your league”. Now every girl you date after will think you only want to be with them because they’re in a lower league.’
Other MAFS viewers were more supportive, with one even replying to the previous comment: ‘That’s a really mean thing to say… it’s not about looks honey or whether anyone is out of someone’s league… shows how superficial you are.
