And to keep children occupied, there is a games area decked out with table games, books, table football and a TV gaming console.

The former watering hole has received a thumbs up on TripAdvisor. 

One guest, 780grantw, who stayed there last March for a 40th birthday described it as being the ‘best party venue ever!’

They said one of their favourite features was the ‘massive conservatory’ which was used for a disco and the ‘clean’ and ‘warm’ hot tub in the summerhouse outside.

The reviewer added: ‘Felt great serving yourself behind a real bar and people were eager to help each other. The whole weekend was just perfect.’

Another former guest, 126iana, said of their stay: ‘It’s a strange feeling that you are somewhere familiar, a pub with all the features of a pub, but then it feels like a permanent lock-in.’ 

But those interested in staying at the ex-boozer better get moving quickly, as it’s already started booking up quickly for the year ahead. In August, there are just two days left open.
