Guy Sebastian has showed off the inside of $3.1 million Sydney home for the first time on TV.

The singer, 37, invited Channel Nine viewers into his recently-completed Maroubra mansion as he hosted his Voice team for a mini mentoring session.

Guy was seen standing in his kitchen, which featured a stylish grey cabinetry and marble stone surfaces, with industrial furniture, decor and fixtures.

His team, including former Australia’s Got Talent winner Jack Vidgen, looked amazed as they entered the large open-plan kitchen and dining room.

The room also features access to a glass-enclosed sun room with skylights, that helped give the house an abundance of natural lighting.

The footage is one of the first glimpses inside Guy’s home since he finished the home’s lengthy renovations earlier this month.

Despite its gorgeous interiors, the construction of the home hasn’t come without its share of drama.

Guy decided to tear down the original property so he could build a home with a more modern feel.

The singer’s neighbours were said to be furious over what one middle-aged couple called a ‘demolition nightmare’ after their living room wall was damaged during the renovations on the singer’s home.

Speaking to Hit105’s Stav, Abby and Matt radio show in December, Guy said of his ‘angry’ neighbour: ‘The last time we talked we had a massive blow up.’

He revealed he pleaded with the neighbour, asking what he ‘had to do’ and insisted they ‘let bygones be bygones’ and ‘move on’, since they’re going to be living next door to each other.

The star appeared to move in over the December holidays, with minor tweaks and renovations continuing up to earlier this month.

Despite the neighbours qualms, Guy said he’s ecstatic with the final results.

Talking to Who magazine earlier this month, Guy said he is  ‘obsessed’ with the design and couldn’t be happier with the results.

‘It’s a unique design – pretty out there,’ he said. ‘But we’ve chosen all the furniture, I found it all. That side of it has been easy.’

He also predicted that his radically modern home will prove to be influential, saying it will likely ‘shake up the building industry’.
