Police said they received a report on Wednesday June 3 of an alleged fraud committed against the 38-year-old singer.

‘Further inquiries revealed a number of frauds allegedly committed between December 2013 and April 2020,’ police said in a statement.

Police allege the ‘celebrity manager’ defrauded the Australian Idol winner of more than $1.15 million over a seven-year period.

The arrest comes amid heightened tensions between the pair, who both allege they each owe each other hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Mr Day told the Sydney Morning Herald last month that he was allegedly due to receive payment from The Voice coach for services rendered.

‘Guy terminated the management contract after 11-and-a-half years without notice and then refused to pay me commissions on any work that I did, even for events that had been completed. That crippled my business,’ he said.
