Guzman y Gomez has launched the ultimate churro-style French toast – complete with fresh bread cooked with an egg, cinnamon sugar and a thick caramel sauce.
Australian diners can expect a Mexican take on the epic new $6.50 ‘Churro Toast’, which is available in restaurants across the country from today.
The breakfast item consists of two slices of French-inspired bread, coated with cinnamon sugar and served with the chain’s signature Dulce De Leche on the side for dipping or to be drizzled on top.

Customers can enjoy the new creation guilt free as it contains no added preservatives, no artificial flavours, no added colours and no additives.
Steven Marks, GYG Founder and CEO said the churros toast proved successful after selected restaurants trialled the breakfast item.
‘We put Churro Toast into a couple of restaurants as a trial and sales exploded, it’s just that good,’ Steven Marks, GYG Founder and CEO said.
‘Imagine fresh French toast sprinkled with our cinnamon sugar and topped with Dulce De Leche sauce that tastes as good as it looks. The feedback we’ve received from guests has been mind blowing.

The toast joins the restaurant’s growing breakfast menu, which already includes $2 barista-made coffee, bacon with egg and hash brown burritos, chicken chorizo with egg and hash brown burritos, avocado or guacamole on toast and bowls.
The churro toast is available in restaurants and drive-thrus nationally, as well on the app and via delivery.
