Gwen Stefani confirms marriage with very first photos from her wedding to Blake Shelton

Gwen Stefani has given fans a look at her stunning wedding to Blake Shelton, confirming their marriage via Instagram on Monday.

The pop star, 51, looked every inch the blushing bride, as she and the country favorite kissed in front of a beautiful cake in one photo.

Another shot showed Shelton driving his love off as she flashed her legs under one of the two classic Vera Wang wedding dresses she wore for their big day.

‘Dreams do come [heart and praying hands emojis],’ she captioned the gorgeous photos, while adding an ‘I love you’ for her new husband Blake.

The country singer embraced the pop star from behind and kissed her forehead in a lovely taken at dusk in front of wisps of pink-flecked clouds.

As seen in People, Gwen’s gown worn for the ceremony featured a sweetheart plunging neckline, cut away back, fitted bodice and floor-length tulle skirt.

The Bathwater songstress’s chapel length veil featured the embroidered names of Stefani, Shelton, and Stefani’s sons, Kingston James McGregor, 15, Zuma Nesta Rock, 12, and Apollo Bowie Flynn, seven.

Gwen and Blake stood next to a covered stone pavilion, which may have been where they tied the knot, and they were at the edge of a cliff above the tree tops.

Her strapless reception dress was also courtesy of Wang, featuring a pair of hand sewn love birds symbolizing the couple, along with silk, crystal and sequin embroidered foliage around the waist giving way to a hand tumbled tulle mini skirt.

Three baby lovebirds also representing Stefani’s children with ex-husband Gavin Rossdale were also worked into the ensemble.

Blake’s bride made sure to include an unmistakably country touch – stiletto white cowboy boots by Le Silla.

Although Gwen shared the stunning images from her wedding, Blake kept quiet on his own social media accounts.

In her caption tags, Gwen revealed that her stunning white off-the-shoulder gown had been designed by Vera Wang, while her trusty stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn had helped her achieve her pristine look.

The Voice judges tied the knot on Saturday, July 3 in a ceremony at Blake’s ranch.

He built an outdoor chapel for the wedding with input from his soon-to-be wife.

‘Blake built a chapel on the grounds of his Oklahoma ranch. He did it himself with help,’ a source told Us Weekly in December 2020. ‘It’s really a tribute to their love. They are going to get married in the chapel, most likely early next year.’

Gwen’s Instagram post included many of the people who helped make the wedding possible, among them Carson Daly, the long-running host of The Voice.

According to Page Six, Daly officiated the ceremony for his current and former costars.

The TV host revealed in January that he had urged Gwen not to date Blake, though he seemed to be joking somewhat at the time.

The wedding was an intimate affair for Blake and Gwen, with Today reporting that they only had about 40 guests, which were made up of family and close friends.

Among those seen attending were Gwen’s parents Dennis Stefani and Patti Flynn, though it’s not yet known who else attended.

On Thursday, TMZ reported that the couple had obtained their marriage license, meaning they had only 10 days to get married before it expired.

Blake, Gwen and her children had departed Los Angeles on Friday, June 25, just after the country hitmaker had finished up work on The Voice.

The wedding’s success can be largely attributed to Gwen’s planning.

In May, Blake joked to USA Today that it would be a ‘pretty classless wedding’ if he planned it, which was why Gwen was taking charge.

‘I want her to do all of that stuff and handle it because it’s going to be great. She’s in the middle of planning the thing, and she’s always so mindful … of me,’ he continued. ‘She’s like, “Hey, I don’t want to just take this thing over.” I think she’s having a blast doing it. I mean, I know she’s having a blast doing it.’

Blake and Gwen’s romance goes back to 2015, when they struck up a relationship while working together on The Voice.

At the time, both singers were coming off heartbreaks.

In July of that year, Blake and his then-wife Miranda Lambert announced that they were divorcing after four years of marriage and almost a decade together.

Gwen had her own marital split when she announced her divorce from Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale in August 2015 after two decades together and nearly 13 years of marriage.

In February, Blake opened up about how much it meant for him to become a stepfather to the three boys during a radio interview for KFROG’s The Ride With Kimo & Heather.

‘I don’t know if it’s as hard or harder or not as hard as being an actual, biological parent, you know?’ he mused. ‘I have a stepfather in my life who’s one of my heroes. I love my stepfather and I look up to him and he’s like a father to me, so I have a good inspiration in my life for how to do this and the kind of stepdad I want to be. And I take it very serious.

‘But I also have a blast with it, I’m not gonna lie,’ he continued. ‘I don’t take it so serious that I’m not enjoying this time because I really am, especially now that we’re five years into this thing.’

Blake added, ‘I can’t imagine my life without these kids now.’

The country singer and Gwen went public with their relationship in late 2015.

Back then, a source told People that Blake ‘wanted to take his time with marriage,’ though he was ‘absolutely committed to Gwen.’

He decided he was ready to move forward on October 27, 2020, when the two announced their engagement.

The Hollaback Girl singer appeared to shade her ex-husband with a Father’s Day post last week that focused only on Blake without a mention of Gavin.

The Voice coach and country superstar was seen bonding with her boys in several sweet photos, while their biological father was conspicuously absent.

‘Happy father’s day to the most generous patient loving funny guy i know — we love u so much,’ she wrote while tagging Blake.
