She rolls up her living room rug and moves the couch away from the wall to vacuum those often neglected areas including the baseboards to get rid of hidden dust and allergens.
Secondly, Chantel removes the covers from her throw pillows to clean them in the washing machine and vacuums the inside cushions to get rid of dust mites.
Lastly, the handy mum shared her recipe for a homemade dust repellent mix she sprays on surfaces around her house.

She mixes a cup of water, a quarter of a cup of white vinegar, one tablespoon of coconut oil and a few drops of lemon oil in a spray bottle and shakes to combine.
The clip has been viewed more than 106,000 times on Instagram with one fan dubbing the hacks a ‘must try’ while another called Chantel a ‘dust buster’.
Another commenter added their dust busting tip recommending people change their air-conditioning or furnace filters regularly.

She combined half a cup of baking soda with one tablespoon of dishwashing liquid and one tablespoon of water to create the miracle cleaning scrub.
The mum then mixed the scrub together then applied it to her stovetop with a hand towel and made sure to evenly distribute it around the surface area.
Chantel left the scrub to sit on the stainless steel surface for 30 minutes and then sprayed cleaning vinegar directly on top.

She scrubbed the DIY paste around the stove and removed any left over burnt food or grime with a Rubbermaid Power Scrubber.
To finish she wiped the DIY scrub from the metal surface to reveal a clean and shiny stovetop.
‘This mix is powerful at banishing tough grease on stovetops and burners,’ Chantel wrote in her recipe video.
