TV presenter Hamish Blake is back behind the wheel of his $120,000 Land Rover Defender that was allegedly stolen during a break-in last year.
The father of two, 40, who is married to beauty entrepreneur Zoë Foster Blake, was seen driving the luxury vehicle around Sydney on Wednesday, a day before he spoke about the incident for the first time in a radio interview.
He told The Kyle and Jackie O Show the alleged thief had managed to break into his four-bedroom home in Woollahra, in Sydney’s east, which he and Zoë were renting for $5,000 a week while their other $9m home Vaucluse was being renovated.
‘It was just someone walking up and down the street who managed to get into that back door and took the handbag that had the [car] keys in it,’ Hamish explained.

‘I heard the car beep because it beeps when you unlock it but I thought it was just someone picking up a mate,’ he added.

However, police found the allegedly stolen vehicle later that day.

The TV star and skincare mogul were staying in the rental with their young children, son Sonny, seven, and daughter Rudy, five, as they were renovating their $8.925million home in nearby Vaucluse.

The four-level home, which was designed by Neil Architecture and appeared on Grand Designs Australia in 2013, measures 885sqm and features two sets of garages.
The buy came shortly after Zoë, 42, made the Australian Young Rich List with an estimated net worth of $36million thanks to her Go-To skincare line.
