Cheeky Cheyenne had been missing for a while on May 7, leaving owner James Murphy unsure about where she was.
When the 10-year-old returned home to Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, Canada, she had acquired a new piece of headwear, a huge plastic cat kennel wrapped around her neck.
Completely nonplussed, Cheyenne stands motionless as James giggles before taking the offending object from his faithful pooch’s head.
James said: ‘I laughed hysterically, and I still laugh at it every time I watch it.
‘The fact that she had no reaction to it being there really was the funniest part.
‘She had been gone for a little over an hour and when I returned from trying to find her, she had already returned with a new head dress.
