Harper Beckham, 10, wears a pretty ballgown and sweetly holds hands with her dapper dad David

David Beckham held hands with his daughter Harper as they headed to a glitzy theatre event together on Monday night in Venice.

The former footballer, 47, looked dapper in a black suit while his youngest child Harper, 10, looked pretty in a £1,600 pink and purple ballgown from Zimmermann.

The pair beamed as they headed into the Riva event at the Fenice theatre in the Italian city, with David teaming his dark suit with a crisp white shirt and cool shades. 

Harper looked adorable in her pretty dress which had a strapless design and was teamed with comfortable Nike trainers. 

She looked in great spirits with her dad as they laughed and joked together on route to the glitzy event.

Italian fashion designer and entrepreneur Domenico Dolce was also in attendance and walked just behind the Beckhams.

Last Saturday David further cemented his bond with daughter Harper as they enjoyed a fun-filled gondola ride during the trip to Venice.

The Inter Miami CF co-owner doted on Harper and kissed her head as they took in the sights of the city during their father-daughter day.

David appeared to be thoroughly enjoying the outing as he was seen beaming and looking around the City of Water in wonderment.

Likewise, Harper seemed very impressed with her surroundings as she too turned this way and that as they sailed through the waterways of Venice.

Former footballer David certainly dressed the part for his day of leisure, cutting a cool figure in a blue shirt, white trousers and trendy shades.

Meanwhile, young Harper looked adorable in a lilac dress, with her hair styled in pigtails for the day. 

There was no sign of his other children – Brooklyn, 21, Romeo, 19, and Cruz, 17 – whom he shares with wife Victoria, 48, on the trip.

The sportsman did however make an appearance on his wife’s Instagram earlier in the day as she showed off their new puppy.

The Beckham family welcomed a brand new addition to the family last week in the form of an adorable pup named Simba Beckham. 

And the arrival appeared to be settling into family life, as Victoria shared a slew of sweet snaps  of the pooch, which she dubbed ‘A real posh puppy’. 

Showing that Simba is being showered with attention, the snaps included her husband David lying down for a cuddle, before their son Romeo and daughter Harper got in on the action.

The first shot showed David lying on his front with his arms crossed – as the pup nestled his head on the former footballer’s elbow. 

Flashing a smile to the camera, David locked Simba between his arms as they enjoyed the sweet cuddle.

While another showed Harper, the youngest of the Beckham clan (prior to Simba!), planting a kiss on his head.
