Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have donated more than half a million dollars to Democrat-linked gurus, funds and charities despite royals having to be politically neutral, it was revealed today.

Their Archewell foundation has handed £502,300 ($632,000) to individuals and groups that would likely frustrate Donald Trump, who has repeatedly criticised the couple and recently called Meghan ‘terrible’.

The largest single payment went to a charity run by Joe Biden’s daughter Ashley, Archewell’s tax documents in the US show.

And multiple six-figure sums were handed to one of the Democratic party’s go-to PRs who claims to be an expert in online ‘integrity’ and countering ‘disinformation’.

Donald Trump said this month that he would not be deporting Prince Harry despite major questions about his visa and his historical drug use. ‘I don’t want to do that. He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible,’ the President said.

The Duke of Sussex then used his speech to 40,000 people at the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games in Canada to bemoan ‘weak moral character in the world’ – before thanking veterans – in comments widely viewed as a dig at the US President.

Meghan has previously said Mr Trump is Meghan ‘misogynistic’ and ‘divisive’ and Harry said Trump had ‘blood on his hands’ over his environmental policies during a prank call.

Analysis of Archewell’s spending shows a clear link to the Democrats in the form of huge donations and patronage.

In 2023 the charity donated $250,000 (£199,000) to a charity set up by Mr Biden’s daughter Ashley.

The Archewell Foundation is a founding partner at a wellness hub for women impacted by trauma which pioneers a radical new type of therapy that Ms Biden credits with helping her process her brother Beau’s death at the age of just 46 in 2015.

Based in north Philadelphia, the Women’s Wellness (Spa)ce was created by Ashley who envisioned the space as a ‘drop-in space where women can eat a healthy meal, hit the treadmill or box, listen to guided meditation, and access therapies including EMDR and infrared saunas’.

In 2023 Archewell gave $146,500 to Jiore Craig, a PR expert who described as the Democrats’ guru for ‘countering disinformation’ and dubbed an expert in ‘integrity’ online.

The operative previously worked at Greenberg, Quinlan and Rosner, a Washington research firm that specializes in elections, where she rose to become its Vice President between 2018 and 2021.

There was also $25,000 (£19,900) to the Marcy Lab School in Brooklyn, where Ms Craig is on the board and also where Harry and Meghan visited themselves while in New York. The couple were shown hugging students

In 2022 Ms  Craig, who worked for a firm who helped with Bill Clinton’s election campaigns, was paid $120,000 (£95,000) by Archewell.

The couple’s video statement from the 2020 election which they filmed from the garden of their Montecito mansion and urged Americans to vote in the ‘most important election of our lifetime’. They denied they were not politically neutral, others disagreed

Markup News Inc., a non-profit set up by Democrat megadonor George Soros’ Open Society Foundation and Craigslist founder Craig Newmark also reportedly received $90,000 from Archewell.

The foundation also shelled out $155,050 to Herlihy Loughran, a firm set up by former Buckingham Palace aides Beth Herlihy and Clara Loughran, for ‘programmatic strategic services’.

The consultancy is run by Beth Herlihy, a former actress who once played a stripper in UK teen soap opera Hollyoaks and has been a loyal worker for the Sussexes after she was laid off by Kensington Palace following Megxit.

 Archewell today declined to comment.

But said previously: ‘They are committed to investing in people and initiatives that truly make a difference’.

Rows over their political neutrality have rumbled on for years.

Back in September 2020, soon after Harry and his wife Meghan Markle had moved to the US, the couple urged American voters to ‘reject hate speech, misinformation and online negativity’ in that year’s election which was eventually won by Joe Biden .

While the Sussexes did not endorse a candidate, the wording of their video message prompted accusations that they were referring to Mr Trump and had therefore breached UK protocol keeping members of the Royal Family political neutrality.

Last year the Sussexes had again urged people to vote in the US Presidential Election. They did not endorse a candidate but their intervention was taken as a nod to Kamala by critics.

Some suggested that the decision not to come out expressly for Kamala may have been related to the row over Harry’s visa application.
