Spurs transfer chief Fabio Paratici has insisted that Harry Kane ‘loves Tottenham’ and is part of the club’s re-build plans despite the England captain’s attempts to leave North London last summer.

Kane, 28, was the subject of strong interest from Manchester City, with the Premier League champions linked with a £150million move for the three-time Golden Boot winner.

However, Tottenham chief Daniel Levy firmly parried away all approaches from City and Kane relented in his bid to secure an exit from his boyhood club.

And now Paratici – who was recruited this summer from Juventus to oversee football activity at the club – has revealed that Kane ‘loves Tottenham’ and remains an integral part of the North Londoners’ plans.

‘Harry Kane loves Tottenham,’ he told The Sun.  ‘We’ve decided to keep Harry last summer to start the re-building, and we’re happy with our choice.

‘There’s no need of any new talk with Harry. He knows how to share the sense of belonging to Spurs.’
