Harvey Weinstein may face more criminal charges, with prosecutors in Los Angeles reviewing eight cases against him.

Weinstein, 67, is currently charged with five sexual crimes in New York. He will go on trial in January after pleading not guilty on all counts.

Separately, prosecutors in Los Angeles are weighing whether or not to charge him in eight cases.

Four cases have been reported to the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office by the LAPD and another four have been reported by the Beverly Hills Police Department over the last two years.

Two of them have only been reported in the last two months, according to Variety.

Among the allegations is one from an Italian model who says he raped her at the Mr. C Hotel in February 2013.

The majority of the charges were first reported after the Weinstein scandal broke in October 2018.

Dozens of women have accused him both anonymously and on-the-record of sexual misconduct dating back to the 1990s.

In many cases, too much time had passed for them to be prosecuted by police.

Weinstein settled with some of the women in private, civil court agreements, paying them hundreds of thousands of dollars.

He maintains he has never forced himself on a woman or acted inappropriately.

In New York, he faces life behind bars if convicted on all of the charges; ; first degree rape, third degree rape, criminal sexual act and two counts of predatory sexual assault.

The charges relate to two incidents involving two women; one who says she was raped by him in March 2013 and one who says he forced her into performing oral sex on him in 2006.
