Has Samir Kamani taken his brother’s place as Britain’s most eligible bachelor list?

With a posse of famous pals, regular parties in Capri and a family worth billions thanks to their fast fashion empire, Manchester-born Samir Kamani has no shortage of female suitors.

At just 25, the youngest of the Kamani brothers, is CEO of boohoo and boohooMAN, the menswear branch of the multi-billion dollar business started by his father Mahmud, meaning he’s regularly rubbing shoulders with A-listers including Cara Delevingne, Kylie Jenner and Snoop Dogg.

Last week his brother, Umar Kamani, 33 – who was once named as Britain’s eighth most eligible bachelor by society bible Tatler – popped the question to his to stunning model girlfriend Nada Adelle, while his middle brother Adam Kamani tied the knot to bride Charlotte McHale  in 2017 in a £1million wedding on a 24-acre estate in Lake Como, Italy.

This means Samir, the youngest son of Mahmud and his wife Aisha, is the last brother enjoying the single life, with a Instagram feed showing how great it is to be the son of a billionaire, with a life full of parities in Capri, dinners in Dubai and idyllic trips to the Maldives.

Samir was named CEO of boohooMAN & boohoo last year. The business – which is valued at upwards of £3.5billion – often works with A-listers including Kourtney Kardashian and Paris Hilton.

Little is known about Samir’s love life – although the businessman was pictured getting cosy with Love Island’s Alexandra Cane in 2018, just hours after she secured a deal with the brand. A source at the time told MailOnline the pair were just friends.

In the time since, Samir has enjoyed sharing glimpses of his very lavish lifestyle online. Recently he’s posted dozens of photos from Capri,  enjoying time on the celeb-loved Italian island with his parents and friends.

Photos show him swimming in clear-blue water and posing in restaurants while enjoying the sunset of the Mediterranean.

As Samir was only 16 at the time, he missed out on starting the company, but has since proved his worth in the family business securing huge deals for boohoo and boohooman.

The Kamani family’s extraordinary rags to riches story starts with his Mahmud Kamani’s father Abdullah, who went to school with Mahatma Gandhi in Gujurat, India.

He moved the family to Kenya, where many Indian families had prospered under the British Empire. Mahmud, 56, was born there in 1964, but four years later the Kamanis were forced to flee to Britain by increasing unrest and draconian employment laws that favoured native Kenyans.

They settled in Manchester, where the entrepreneurial Abdullah sold handbags on a market stall to feed his family, before investing in property and founding the wholesale textile business Pinstripe, where Mahmud worked, using family connections in India to source garments.

By the early 2000s, the firm was selling nearly £50million of clothing a year to British High Street names such as New Look, Primark and Philip Green’s Topshop.

Spotting the potential in the growth of the internet, Mahmud set up his online retailer Boohoo in 2006 that would deliver their own-branded fashion at rock bottom prices, starting out with just three staff and operating out of a Manchester warehouse.

Today it has a workforce of more than 2,900, with teams in Manchester, Burnley, London, New York and Los Angeles, as well as celebrity advocates including Little Mix.

Mahmud, who used to drive a van delivering clothes for his father and sold clothes on his family market stall, is married to Aisha, who is regularly seen sharing the benefits of the family fortune on Instagram.

Elsewhere, through a succession of shrewd business deals, he has snapped up ailing high street brands including Oasis, Warehouse and Debenhams.

In 2006 the couple’s son Umar Kamani started working for the family business as a manager, while attending theatre school. He went on to study international business at Manchester Metropolitan University.

In 2012 he and his brother Adam co-funded PrettyLittleThing after witnessing the phenomenal success of Boohoo, and reported a turnover of £374million in 2018. By 2022, the company is forecast to be worth around £2.1billion.

Meanwhile, the Boohoo Group bought a 34 per cent stake in PLT for £269.8 million in May 2020.  PrettyLittleThing employs more than 300 staff and counts singers Miley Cyrus, Rita Ora and Nicki Minaj among its fans.

The brand opened a flagship store in LA in 2016, and Kylie Jenner attended the launch party. After the reality star wore one of the brand’s dresses in 2016, overall sales increased by 400 per cent.
