‘He is a player’: Kanye West jokes that he was worried about wife Kim being alone with Trump

Kanye West has defended his support of Donald Trump but deemed the president ‘a player’ when asked if he trusted him in the same room with his wife.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the controversial rapper and fashion designer backed his support for Trump explaining that other people cannot control his actions.

‘Just as a musician, African American, everyone around me tried to pick my candidate for me and then told me that I couldn’t say that I like Trump,’ he said.

Kimmel went on to ask about Kim Kardashian’s recent visit to the White House where she met with the president.

‘Were you ever concerned about her being alone in the Oval Office with President Trump?’ Kimmel asked.

‘Well, he is a player,’ West joked.

When asked if he thinks that ‘Donald Trump would care about black people,’ West remained quiet, forcing Kimmel to go to commercial, thus never answering the question.

The interview toggled between light-hearted jokes to serious talks of West’s mental disorder.

The talk show host discussed his recent album Ye with the rapper and the song I Thought About Killing You along with the quote on the album cover which reads: ‘I hate being biopolar. It’s awesome’.

‘It’s important for us to have open conversations about mental health,’ he said. ‘We never had therapists in the black community.’

The father-of-three went on to address his now infamous TMZ Live interview from May in which he said slavery ‘sounds like a choice’.

He reflected on the controversial moment positively as he said: ‘What was awesome is the world got to really experience someone in a ramped-up state. And that’s when you get these comments that just shoot out, almost like Tourette’s.’

Back in May he appeared on the gossip publication’s show as he infamously said: ‘You were there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all. It’s like we’re mentally imprisoned.’

The 41-year-old also called for more open conversations about mental health, especially in the black community, explaining his own difficulties with bipolar disorder

They continued to talk about his newest album and the song Violent Crimes.

In the track Kanye addresses his two daughters – five-year-old North and six-month-old Chicago – as he expresses fear over them dating when they get older.

Kimmel, 50, then asked him if having daughters has made the Gold Digger hitmaker change his views on women.

West responded: ‘Nah I still look at Pornhub.’

The host jokingly asked about what his favorite genre of porn was to which Kanye sincerely responded:  ‘Blacked is my favorite category.’

Kimmel then insisted that he actually didn’t need to answer that but the Life Of Pablo hitmaker stood firm.

Kanye said: ‘What’s the point of being Kanye West if you can’t let’s break down the porn categories.

‘A lot of black on white, obviously.’
