An adorable dog was caught on camera greeting her owner with a cheesy grin.

The footage of Mocca the Shiba Inu recorded at her home in Yokohama, Japan.

In the video, the brown-coloured dog sits on a black leather sofa in the living room as her owner walks toward her. 

The pooch squints, wags its tail in delight and licks its lips.

It then smirks with joy and pins its ears back as its owner strokes its head.

Mocca continues to lap up the attention and the video ends shortly after. 

The dog’s owner said: ‘Mocca is an 11-year-old female Shiba Inu.

‘She is very affectionate, showing her love with her big smile, squinty eyes, airplane ears and helicopter tail.

‘Mocca does her signature airplane ears when she greets her human family and guests.’

The Shiba Inu breed was originally bred to flush out birds and small game. 

They are one of six native Japanese breeds and have a lifespan of around 12 to 14 years.
