A heartbreaking photo has emerged of an upset little boy after his dream of visiting a fire station was crushed.
Jozeph was recently enjoying a day out with his great-grandfather when the pair decided to drop into Morpeth fire station in the NSW Hunter Valley, near Newcastle, only to find the station closed with no one inside.
Despite his back facing the camera, the resulting photo sums up the little boy’s utter devastation.
The aspiring firefighter is captured leaning against the closed roller door as he gloomily stares down at the ground, shattered he missed out on seeing the big red trucks he adores so much.

Jozeph’s great-grandfather sent the heart-wrenching photo to Fire and Rescue NSW. On Monday, the image was uploaded to their Facebook page.
The photo has since gone viral with more than 1,000 reactions and hundreds of comments and shares within hours.
Among those who commented was the boy’s mother.
‘This is my little boy, he is obsessed with the fire trucks and asks to see them every time we are in Morpeth,’ Alannah McKewen wrote.
‘He was lucky enough a few weeks ago to have a quick visit and we will definitely be back.’
She later added Jozeph’s cousin is a firefighter at Wallalong station and has already brought him RFS pants and top. He is now on the lookout for a helmet.

Firefighters from other stations in the region were also touched by the photo of the adorable little boy.
‘Bring him to 260 Newcastle/Hazmat on Friday if you can. We’d be happy to show him around. The BA training simulator will be there to add to his adventure,’ a firefighter commented.
Another added: ‘Come to Salamander Bay Jozeph. We’ll look after you.’
The Morpeth station also shared the photo on its own Facebook page.

Fire and Rescue NSW has since reminded everyone they are welcome to stop by at their local station to request a tour.
‘If it’s not attended you can direct message its Facebook page or google their number to find out what time may work,’ the Facebook post states.
‘Many of FRNSW’s firefighters started their career with a station tour as soon as they could walk!’
The Fire and Rescue NSW’s statewide annual open day will be held on May 18.
