A Missouri family shared a video of the heartbreaking moment they gathered around the bedside of their loved one to say their goodbyes after he was diagnosed with stage IV cancer.

Mark Foster, of Holden, Missouri, was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer in August 2017, his sister-in-law Kristina Foster said.

‘The cancer was so aggressive there was nothing the doctors could do to beat it. … The family rallied behind him every step of the way,’ she posted.

Kristina Foster said Mark was transferred from the hospital to his home in Holden on September 1 of last year so he could spend his final days with his five brothers, his sister and other loved ones.

Mark died at the age of 51 on September 2, 2017.

Kristina Foster said the night before Mark passed the family gathered together to sing Genesis’ ‘Follow You Follow Me’. Mark loved the song so much that he dedicated it to his twin brother when they were 12 years old.

Kristina Foster captured the moment the family sweetly serenaded Mark on video and posted it to YouTube.

‘This was such a beautiful moment and truly shows how important family is and just how fiercely this family loves each other,’ she wrote in the caption. ‘We may be missing a piece of our heart but this family will always and forever be #fosterstrong.’

Mark, who worked at Rent-A-Center for 19 years, is survived by his wife of nine years and their five children.
