Heartwarming moment daughter hugs her hardworking father as she dedicates her diploma to him

  • Yudit Romero left her family behind and ventured to Argentina to look for work in order to pay off her college studies after a five-year wait
  • Last week she was presented with a degree in Science Education
  • She dedicated her achievement to her father and presented him with her diploma in an emotional video which has now gone viral

A struggling student inspired by her hardworking construction worker father finally graduated after five years of study and dedicated her achievement to her dad in a sweet video.

Yudit Romero had reached a point in her studies where she had to take a break in her studies in 2013 because she was left broke.

However the 32-year-old Paraguay native – and youngest among her four siblings – was determined to finish her studies and heeded the advice of her father, 65-year-old Blas Romero. Since the age of 15 he has been working in the construction business.

Yudit Romero, whose three other sisters graduated from college, left her family behind, venturing across the border to neighboring Argentina where she worked as a waitress to raise money to complete the last final stretch of her collegiate race.

She impressed her educators at Pilar National University with a thesis that investigated the outlying factors that influenced youngsters in selecting their prospective career paths.

On June 20, after so many years of wait, Romero was awarded that magical graduate sheet from her university.

While the video was intended only to be shared with friends and family members on Facebook, it went viral, and in a way serving as proof that it’s never too late to go back to school.
