It would be true to say that Heather’s diet and workout regimes are multi-faceted.

But her ‘obsession’ with yoga, sugar-free diet and up to 12 hours of sleep a night have all played a part in her youthful appearance.

Here, FEMAIL takes a look at how Heather has maintained such a stunning bikini body at 53.

The Hangover star is not one to shy away from an active lifestyle and thrives on a workout regime involving yoga, Pilates and pole dancing

First and foremost, Heather’s enviable physique can be largely attributed to her very active lifestyle – which includes regular bike rides and hikes.

‘I’m obsessed with yoga,’ she also told Refinery29 previously.

‘For fun, I would go on a yoga retreat and do four hours of yoga a day. Then I do Pilates.’

The energetic star is a big fan of dancing too and revealed her bizarre guilty pleasure during an appearance on Late Night With Conan O’Brien.

Heather asked the host: ‘Do you ever go alone at night in your house, turn out all the lights, turn on your favorite song and just dance around like crazy? It’s so fun.’

Discussing some of the songs she prefers to get loose to, she referenced Gnarls Barkley’s Crazy and Rihanna’s Umbrella.

The Hangover star was reportedly introduced to the practice by director David Lynch when she made the Twin Peaks prequel Fire Walk With Me in 1992 – and she hasn’t looked back since.

The actress can also credit her diet for her flawless figure in which she avoids sugar, white flour and alcohol

Another of Heather’s beauty secrets is undoubtedly her diet.

The on-screen star previously stated how she sticks to a sugar-free diet wherever possible.

She told Refinery 29: ‘I’ve become one of those annoying people who’s like, “I’m not gonna eat white flour and I’m not gonna eat sugar.”

‘I do eat sugar sometimes, but as a broad rule, I try to just eat no sugar basically, and I have to say I feel a lot better.

‘And I will sometimes eat things with white flour, but I try to avoid white flour.’

She revealed that one of her favorite dishes is beer-can chicken with sweet potato wedges which she bakes rather than fries in order to make them healthier.

The Hangover star also said: ‘I make a really good salad with kale, chopped raw brussel sprouts, and toasted almonds. Everyone’s into kale. It does make you feel healthy.’

Heather said people are often left ‘horrified’ after finding out how much she sleeps – and is sure to prioritize self care

As with many A-listers, Heather has often credited her youthful visage to getting plenty of sleep.

She previously told The Guardian that getting some serious shut eye was her ‘guilty pleasure’ as she revealed: ‘I love sleeping.

‘When I tell people how much I sleep sometimes, they are horrified. I basically sleep between nine and 12 hours a night.’

Sleep is often considered a natural way to combat signs of ageing such as wrinkles and sagging because this is when new collagen is produced.

Heather was also keen to stress that once a week she ‘spends a day luxuriating in bed.’

But it is not the only form of self care that she actively encourages.

Asked previously how she keeps her skin looking so youthful, Heather told Refinery 29: ‘I like moisturizing a lot — my whole body, my face. I use this inexpensive Body Shop Nourishing Night Cream, and sometimes I’ll use Crème de la Mer.’

Elsewhere, she also said that she will often also get massages, telling The Independent: ‘I try to pamper myself because life is too short.

‘When I was a kid, I used to think, “Oh people who get massages are so wasteful. Why are they wasting money on something you don’t need?”

‘Now I think, “You could die tomorrow, you should just spend that money on a massage.”

‘I am getting better at doing nice things for myself.’
