A heavily pregnant woman has opened up about the moment a man allegedly stole her handbag during a brutal attack.
Jiwon Jeong, 23, who was three days away from her due date, was sitting on a train at Canley Vale in Sydney’s West at 5pm on Monday when a man allegedly confronted her and grabbed her bag.
Ms Jeong said she tripped as she tried to chase after the man, falling onto her stomach, according to 9News.

‘I’m pregnant, so I couldn’t really chase him, i just fell down myself on the floor, on my belly,’ she said.
The 23-year-old revealed she received scratches on her legs and her knees during the terrifying ordeal.
‘I couldn’t breathe well, and I was very hurt, in pain.
‘It’s disgusting and it’s terrible, I can’t believe it just happened to me.’
A witness tried to chase down the offender down while his wife followed in the car.

The couple lost sight of the man as he started kicking in fences and running through backyards, NSW Police said.
Police have released an image of a man they said could assist with their investigation.
He is described as being aged in his 20’s with a medium build and short brown hair.
Ms Jeong was taken to the Liverpool Hospital Birthing Unit and was released after treatment for cuts and abrasions.
