Heidi Klum returns to America’s Got Talent ‘family’ after Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough depart
Heidi Klum returned to the America’s Got Talent franchise Monday after the tumultuous departure of judges Gabrielle Union and Julianne Hough.
The 46-year-old model was a judge on the NBC talent competition show from 2013 until February 2019 before she and Mel B, 44, were replaced for season 14 by Gabrielle and Julianne.
Variety reported in late November that Gabrielle, 47, and Julianne, 31, departed amid a ‘toxic culture’ at the show that included consistent critiques of their hair, wardrobe and makeup choices.

Got Talent franchise creator Simon Cowell, 60, returned for season two of the spin-off America’s Got Talent: The Champions along with longtime judge Howie Mandel, 64, and host Terry Crews, 51.
English singer and Britain’s Got Talent judge Alesha Dixon, 41, joined the show as a judge for the international competition.
Terry at the start of the two-hour premiere asked Simon what he was most excited about for the show.
‘Well, I’m excited because it was one year ago that we first got to know each other. You are the best, Terry,’ Simon told him.

Terry then welcomed back Heidi.
‘Yay! First of all I have to say to you, thank you so much for having me back. I love this show. I love this desk. I missed it, America’s Got Talent family, because really it is a family. And I can’t wait to get this party started,’ said Heidi who wore a pink gown with plunging neckline.
Heidi was granted the Golden Buzzer power to advance her favored act into the semis.

She said that with her Golden Buzzer pick she would ‘see it, when I see it’.
Heidi then looked over at bespectacled Simon.
‘Are these crooked? Look at the glasses,’ Heidi said.

‘Yes. A little bit crooked. Can you adjust them for me, please?,’ Simon asked.
Heidi obliged and later made Simon blush as she gave him hairstyle tips and suggested he wear different glasses.
America’s Got Talent: The Champions will return next Monday on NBC.
