Heidi Klum is there for Mel B and ‘whatever she needs’.

The America’s Got Talent star insists she will always be there for her co-judge as it is revealed that Mel is seeking treatment for her post-traumatic stress disorder.

The model, 45, told People magazine: ‘I am her friend, I have been for many years. If she needs my help I’ve always offered it to her and she can come and chat with me.

‘She can come and chat with me’: Heidi Klum has sent her support to her longtime friend Mel B, after the pop star revealed she was headed to rehab for PTSD

‘You know, you need to have your girlfriends when you’re going through hard times. I’m here to help her with whatever she needs.’

Mel previously revealed she is seeking treatment after her ‘turmoil and very intense’ relationship and insists she isn’t a sex addict or an alcoholic.

She told The Ellen DeGeneres Show: ‘Well, it kind of got a little bit skewed with. Let’s put it that way. Now, I’ve been in therapy since my father got diagnosed with cancer nine years ago … My therapy changed a little bit because I was in a very intense relationship, which you can all read about in my book, which is out online now.

‘Alright. So, I do address a lot of those issues. But you know, no, I’m not an alcoholic. No, I’m not a sex addict. You know, I was with the same person for 10 years and that was quite a turmoil, very intense.

‘That’s all I can say about it. I’d like to say a lot more, but let’s just keep it PC. But ya, I address a lot of those issues and I did kind of have to ease my pain. I do suffer a lot from PTSD.’

Mel recently revealed she will be entering a UK-based therapy centre next month after being diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder as she wants to be a ‘better version’ of herself for her children – Phoenix Chi Gulzar, 19, Angel Iris Murphy Brown, 11, and Madison Brown Belafonte, six.

It has been a turbulent year for the star, who divorced her children’s father Stephen Belafonte.

Mel, whose father passed away in March 2017 after a hard-fought battle with multiple myeloma, spoke candidly about her upcoming treatment as it is a ‘huge issue for so many people’ and she has hit ‘crisis point’.

Talking to The Sun, she said: ‘I’ve been working with a writer on my book, Brutally Honest, and it has been unbelievably traumatic reliving an emotionally abusive relationship and confronting so many massive issues in my life.

‘I am being very honest about drinking to numb my pain but that is just a way a lot of people mask what is really going on.

‘Sometimes it is too hard to cope with all the emotions I feel. But the problem has never been about sex or alcohol — it is underneath all that.’

Mel has been starring alongside Heidi on America’s Got Talent since 2011.
