Helen Hunt looks sporty in camo leggings and grey hoodie as she grabs coffee with 80s Supergirl star Helen Slater in Los Angeles

Helen Hunt opted for a sporty look during a coffee outing with pal Helen Slater in Los Angeles on Friday. 

The 60-year-old Twister actress sported camouflage leggings, a grey sip-up jacket and grey tennis shoes. 

She wore her silvery grey locks tied up in a half pony, flaunting a khaki and brown tote bag that the Mad About You star kept slung over her left shoulder. 

Meanwhile Slater, 59, who’s famous for starring as Supergirl in the 80s, kept her look simple as well, wearing a blue hoodie over black pants. 

The Legend of Billie Jean actress kept her long, grey hair loose around her shoulders, clutching on to her coffee as Hunt attempted to pay the parking meter.

The two silver-haired starlets have been best friends for decades. 

Calling Helen Hunt her, ‘very best friend,’ the Ruthless People actress revealed on the Inside Of You podcast earlier this year that it had been Hunt that had helped her cope with aging. 

Recalling how she wasn’t feeling herself after a grueling television shoot in Austin, Texas, Slater remembered how Hunt gave her a clear sense of perspective. 

‘We were hiking and I got back and said ‘I look so awful, hell bell, I just look so terrible, I just can’t believe it. Why do I look so awful?!’ 

Her friend and fellow actress quipped, ‘Because we’re dying!”   

The perspective shift helped the Happy Together leading lady immensely, with her realizing, ‘Well if we’re dying, I guess I look pretty fantastic.’ 

‘From that moment on I was like ‘yeah, we’re aging, we’re dying, it looks like that, I’m done [worrying about it],’ the New York-born star joked. 

Hunt, best known for her Academy Award winning role in As Good As It Gets, is one year older than Slater.

Wisely, the A House In The Hills star realized that societal pressures had gotten to her in that moment.

‘There aren’t as many avenues for elder women,’ Slater explained. 

She added, ‘There’s a premium on how you look, there’s a premium on pretty. We just value that so much in our culture.’

Keeping herself busy (without a cell phone attached to her hand), Hunt has already scored a new gig — vocal talent on Alathea, a science-fiction based game. 

Her last film and television gigs were back in 2016.
