‘Oh my God it’s a hammerhead.’

Before realising what the swimmers were up to, the tourists wondered whether they were taking the shark out for the safety of others visiting the beach.

They then decide to ‘reconsider going into the water’ for the rest of their trip as they hadn’t realised sharks were natives to that beach.

Once the swimmers start trying to remove the hook the shark starts thrashing and trying to get back into the water.

It looks as though it tries to bite one of the swimmers and they all dart out of the way.

Eventually one man goes and drags the shark back out again to carry on trying to remove the fishhook that’s caught in the side of its mouth.

After the hook is finally removed, the group of tourists who had gathered to watch start cheering and clapping.

The men then try and push the shark back into the sea but it starts thrashing around again and looks as though it will bite one of them.

One brave man then comes forward to pull the shark deeper into the sea where it can properly swim.

The crowd cheers again as the shark starts to move off.

The tourists who filmed the video said: ‘We were vacationing and walking along the pier when we spotted this huge hammerhead shark right on the shallow beach area where everyone was swimming.’
