Molly Lee of Dallas, Texas, took to social media on Monday to post footage of herself waxing her upper lip and in between her eyebrows for the first time. She found the experience to be so painful that she actually started gagging.

‘Shelter-in-place took a turn… I bought a home waxing kit. My face will never recover,’ she captioned the clip, which has been viewed more than three million times on Facebook.

The clip starts with Molly showing off her home waxing kit, explaining that ‘the hairs are growing in’ while pointing to her upper lip.

Before opening the wax, she reads the instructions out loud and admits that she finds them to be concerning.

‘It’s always a good feeling when the instructions start out with: “Start by taking a relaxing breath,”‘ she jokes.

‘Remember when at-home waxing you have full control. There’s no pressure to rush through any of the steps, especially if it’s your first time,’ she continues. ‘This sounds like a sex education course. Am I wrong?’

When she applies the wax to her upper lip, it starts to drip down, and she can’t help but laugh at herself.

‘Now would be a good time to tell you that I’ve never gotten my upper lip waxed,’ she admits. The confession makes the situation even more comical. ‘I know I didn’t do a good job, but this is where we’re at — and now it has to come off.’

Molly’s first attempt to rip off the wax has her gag in shock, and it takes a few more tries for her to finally get the first side completely off.

‘I’m charging $15 a session now that I am a professional,’ she jokes.

When she puts the wax on the other side of her lip, she realizes that she forgot to test it on her wrist to make sure it wasn’t too hot.

‘It feels like a thousand degrees,’ she says. ‘Should I do my nose? No. That’s a bad idea.’

Molly quickly learns that ripping off the wax doesn’t get any easier, and she tries to pump herself up.

‘You’re tough. You’ve passed 40 kidney stones,’ she says before ripping it off. ‘No cursing, no cursing, I’m a child of God.’

Tugging on the wax above her lip once again causes her to start gagging.

‘I almost just threw up Why is it triggering a gag reflex?’ she asks, laughing hysterically. ‘Why does it make me want to throw up? I’m not having fun.’

Molly has to wax both sides and the center of her upper lip multiple times much to her surprise.

‘I’m disgusting,’ she says. ‘How is there still hair there?’

When she is finally done, she applies the wax between her eyebrows, and she immediately realizes it was a mistake.

Quarantine woes: Earlier this week, she shared a video of herself putting baby powder in her hair because she had run out of dry shampoo and is 'on a budget'

‘I think I went too far,’ she admits.

After she rips it off, she takes a good look at her eyebrows in the mirror.

‘I mean it looks stupid, but I don’t think any stupider than normal,’ she notes. ‘What do I do now, like aloe vera lotion?’

At the end of the clip, she smiles at the camera and asks: ‘Am I beautiful?’

Thousands of people have shared and commented on the video, with many fans tagging their friends, so they can watch it.
