International fashion retailer H&M has launched its highly anticipated online store in Australia.

From October 20 Australian customers have access to H&M’s stylish range of affordable fashion and accessories from the comfort of their own home.

To celebrate the launch, shoppers will receive 20 per cent off their first purchase when becoming a H&M Member as part of the new global loyalty program.

The new website offers transparency behind each garment, allowing customers to easily find the origin of a product, the countries it was produced in and the suppliers and factories where it was made.

Thomas Coellner, H&M Australia Country Manager, said: ‘We are very excited to finally launch H&M online in Australia and to be able to offer our fashion collections to customers nationwide anytime, anywhere.’

‘We now have 40 stores across the country and this significant milestone extends H&M’s omni-channel offering.’

With over 7,000 styles available across a range of garments for men, women, teenagers and kids, the most highly sought-after products include floral patterns for spring, light colours, bucket hats and plain t-shirts.

Specific customer favourites of the moment include statement blazers, bright dresses, Hawaiian shirts and button-up shirts.

The loyalty program offers customers exclusive discounts, free shipping with purchases over $60 and free returns for all online orders, as well as personalised discounts and invitations to events.

The digital membership card in the H&M mobile app also allows members to pay using Klarna’s unique payment solution, Pay Later.
