Holistic therapies including yoga and massage are helping some women fall pregnant

Women are turning to natural methods like yoga, acupuncture and massage to fall pregnant. 

Ruth Tobin, an Adelaide woman, was desperate to have a baby after trying unsuccessfully for two years.

The mother turned to yoga and massage, and after just three sessions fell pregnant, 7 News reported.

Ms Tobin is now mother to 11-month old Marley, and she couldn’t be more excited.

‘Going the holistic approach felt very relaxed,’ she said.

‘Sometimes a little bit of help can go a long way,’ Dr Anneliese Perkins told the network.

Therapist Nadia Parisi told 7 News holistic approaches increase the chances of a successful IVF by ‘reducing stress and improving hormonal balances’. 

‘We need to know the cause of why IVF is failing, why aren’t we conceiving naturally these days,’ she told the network. 

Holistic therapy in pregnancy considers the impact of the mind and spirit, and the physical body, on pregnancy in women.
