Holly Willoughby leads star-studded arrivals for Jonathan Ross’ Halloween bash

Holly Willoughby was once again transformed into Dorothy from The Wizard Of Oz as the stars descended on Jonathan Ross’ home for his annual Halloween bash.

Clad in a brunette pigtail wig and pretty blue gingham dress, the This Morning presenter – who had worn the same costume to host the daytime show on Thursday – arrived alongside husband Dan Baldwin, who opted to play her flying monkey for the outing.

As ever Jonathan’s spooktacular bash proved to be spectacular affair, with the outside of his home decorated in a terrifying haunted circus theme.

Earlier in the day Holly was turned into Dorothy as This Morning offered a viewers a Wizard Of Oz-themed Halloween special, and the star opted to continue with her fun look as she arrived for the Halloween party.

The star teamed the classic blue gingham frock with Dorothy’s ruby red slippers, and carried a wicker basket to complete the outfit as she arrived hand-in-hand with husband Dan.

Dan appeared to have borrowed one of the costumes used during the show, as he was dressed as one of the famous flying blue monkeys that are controlled by the Wicked Witch Of The West.

Joining Holly for the outing was Scarlett Moffatt, who put on animated display as Absolutely Fabulous legend Edina Monsoon, who was famously played by Jennifer Saunders in the sitcom.

The Gogglebox star wore a faux fur leopard print coat with oversized sunglasses as she carried an enormous inflatable bottle of champagne for the bash, with a female pal taking on the role of Joanna Lumley’s Patsy Stone.

Scarlett embodied the famously boozy character as she pretended to knock back champagne from the oversized bottle, while her pal embodied Patsy with her glamorous outfit, blonde updo and a cigarette tucked behind her ear.

Every year Jonathan transforms his home into a real life house of horrors, and this year was no different as preparations were underway for his party earlier in the day.

Builders were seen putting the terrifying decorations up at his London home on Thursday, as the TV presenter was also seen arriving home after a quick outing prior to the event.

Getting the entrance ready ahead of the evening’s proceedings, planners and builders were seen putting up a creepy clown-themed gate to welcome partygoers.

With glowing red eyes and an ominous expression, the gateway was sure to send a chill down guests spines as they made their stylish arrivals in the evening.

Inside the driveway, the workers could be seen building a makeshift tunnel to enter the house, while a ghoulish figure was seen besides the door to scare anyone who walked past later on.

Meanwhile, during his outing Jonathan kept things casual by wrapping up in a black-and-yellow scarf, while he donned a green plaid top over loose black trousers.

He stepped out in a pair of comfy black loafers, and tried to keep a low profile as he wore a pair of striking rectangular shades to shield his eyes.

Jonathan’s bashes are so packed full of stars that he has previously enlisted the help of the police to protect both the guests and the public.

However, in 2016 it was revealed that the officers on duty were funded by the tax payer as an angry neighbour was appalled by the discovery after he submitted the Freedom of Information request following the high-profile party, and found the cost of the operation to be £531.80, none of which was funded by the broadcaster.

While officers weren’t stationed on the front door of Ross’s Hampstead property, a policing plan was drawn up ‘for the protection of the public’.

Reasons given for the outlay were potential dangers to the public from crowding of the pavement, spilling onto the road and impingement of traffic.

The Metropolitan Police said: ‘Local officers will continue to attend and interact at events of all kinds on their areas as part of their normal patrols as this is an integral way to foster support and trust in the police and to promote engagement and communication as we do for school fetes and the like.’

A police source told the Daily Mirror: ‘Most officers would rather spend time on proper jobs, rather than shepherding rubberneckers gawping at celebs in silly outfits.’
