Holly Willoughby reveals she doesn’t want her children to follow in her showbiz footsteps

She boasts a successful presenting career, spanning nearly two decades.

But Holly Willoughby has revealed she doesn’t want her children to follow in her showbiz footsteps, insisting they’re already skilled in their own interests in an interview with TV Life magazine.

The ITV host, 37, who shares her children Harry, nine, Belle, seven, and Chester, four, with husband Dan Baldwin, revealed her main focus is to ‘arm them with the tools and knowledge’ in their future careers.

Admitting she doesn’t ‘really mind what they end up doing’, Holly detailed: ‘Harry is massively into football, so I think he’s going to be sporty in some way. He loved the World Cup this year and he’s a big Arsenal supporter.’

She continued: ‘Belle is bright and her imagination is amazing and she loves writing stories and disappearing into her own little world so maybe some creative.’

This Morning host Holly went on to reveal that it’s too early to figure out what her youngest son Chester is interested in, as her main priority is for her children to be equipped with the necessary skills to tackle whatever life throws at them.

‘By the time they go on to have careers I would hope that I’ve armed them with all the tools and knowledge they need and it’s for them to go out and make their own mistakes and learn their own things then.’

Holly is known for putting family first in her life, revealing that she will take her children out of school to join her in Australia when filming for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! starts November.

The show traditionally runs for three weeks — meaning that her offspring could be missing up to a month of school.

Meanwhile, Holly has had incredible success with her new clothing edit with Marks and Spencer, as the brand was forced to restock following record sales.

Holly’s Must Haves M&S edit has proved to be a huge hit, with the famous pink leopard print dress being sold on eBay for twice it’s retail price after a majority of sizes sold out.

The retail brand’s customer service team told Grazia that many products will be restocked over the weekend, after many other products also sold out in record time.

Holly was named as the new M&S brand ambassador earlier this month, and is expected to feature heavily in the brand’s upcoming Christmas campaign, which always sees a sensational festive advert take centre stage.

Holly’s new venture came after she confirmed on Tuesday that she had decided to part ways with her lifestyle brand Truly.

Taking to Instagram she posted a message to her fans which read: ‘After much consideration, I have made the decision to step away from Truly.

‘To launch a brand needs total dedication and at the moment, with so many other commitments, this is not something I feel I can do without it starting to affect my family time at home. I wish Truly all the success for the future.’
